A light day as befits a Sunday — sort of light, anyway. I was only around for the afternoon but I finished moving the building materials from the front garden to the back. No mean feat humping those bricks in a wheelbarrow up an ice covered slope!
Work further slowed by the bricks being so solidly frozen together attempts to split them apart more often resulted in the bricks breaking, not the ice that bound them.

Also did a test repair on my snapped stair boards. Having cleaned the area with brush and can of compressed air, I opened up the crack with a fine knife and got the wood glue in there. My worry is it wasn’t penetrating deep enough. Maybe next time I could blow glue into the gap with compressed air?
Final fix was with panel pins to hold it all in place while the glue cured.
Tea with the neighbours and then home. Back at work tomorrow so I’ll be away from the house, but Mr G will be back Tuesday to continue making walls.
The snow is all gone now but the ice has been sadly persistent. Our friend Ms C found this at her peril when she got stuck spinning her wheels. Thankfully our 1955 tractor equipped with a tow rope was equal to the task, even if the headlights aren’t working that great.
