I really am astonished at how incredibly reluctant woodchip wallpaper is when it comes to being removed from walls. It has taken dozens of manhours just to strip two rooms — the sitting room and the box room, soon to be master suite.
And that’s with four steamers running at once at points. Remarkable.
We’ve had more happy volunteers down for the weekend, which is so nice, all putting the effort in!
We’ve finally lifted the floorboards in the ensuite and put some loose ply down, which will make the floor when the bathroom bits go in. Denailing the floorboards and cleaning up the mess that had dropped between them was an afternoon’s work!
Up very late all week thanks to the European elections, including last night for the results. Interesting times…
