I’ve been back at work most of the time since the last post but Mr H has been working diligently to in the weeks to keep things moving. The building inspector came and signed off the drains so we’ve been able to get those down in the utility room which will serve the bathroom above, although we had to stop short of pouring the floor slab as the cement mixer died just as I was doing the first mix of the weekend.
In other news, the front rooms have now been totally cleared out and I’ve done most of the clearing of the bathroom, with both now reads to have new studwork go up for the new reconfigured walls.
There’s a little mountain of rubble growing in the garden I will have to get skipped away soon — do not wish to abuse the goodwill of the neighbours too much.
Now looking to the future. We’ve started planning wiring and plumbing, all of which is going to be horrendously expensive but will take us closer to the goal. Very exciting.
We may have a home to live in this year… Maybe…
